May 12, 2009  Dhoom Machao Dhoom is an india based cartoon about a girl in a band with her friends. 2007 and Ending April 2008 the show was simply replaced with a show 'Sanya'. Dhoom Machaao Dhoom is an Indian musical comedy-drama television series that used to air on Disney Channel India. It premiered on January 8, 2007, with a one-hour special introductory episode, which had songs by the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs winner, Sanchita Bhattacharya. She performed the song Aisa jadooin the same episode.

Sriti jha was born on 26th Feb 1986 in Darbhanga, bihar. After her initial days in Bihar, she shifted to Kolkata and spent 10 years there. She later lived in Kathmandu for some time. Sriti jha did about 10 years of her schooling in Kolkata and also studied at Modern India School in Kathmandu. When her family shifted to Delhi, she studied at Laxman public school. For her graduation, she pursued bachelor of arts degree in English from Sri Venkateswara college in delhi.
During her school days, Sriti jha was more interested in her dancing skills than acting. But she later went ahead and pursued her interest in acting. In fact, in 2004 she joined English dramatics society in her college and later also became the president.
Her first brush with the world of showbiz happened when she got selected after her audition for Dhoom Machao Dhoom at her college in Delhi. Sriti later made her debut with the role of Malini Sharma in the Disney India’s teen drama. Her parents were very supportive of her decision to take up acting.
Sriti jha got a very prominent role in the serial Jyoti on NDTV Imagine. She played the role of Sudha Sharma in the TV series. She was later seen in several other roles in TV series like Jiya Jale, Shaurya Aur Suhani, Rakt Sambandh, Dil Se Di Dua… Saubhagyavati Bhava and Balika Vadhu. She was also seen in reality shows like Meethi Choori No.1 and Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan.
Sriti jha had her biggest break when she was case as the lead Pragya in Zee TV’s show Kumkum Bhagya. The show became a very big success and she actually became a household name for her role. She has been doing the role for about 3 years now and has been receiving very positive reviews for it. We are sure that she is on the verge of a long and successful career in showbiz.

Her role of Jhanvi in Life OK’s serial Dil Se di Dua. Saubhagyavati Bhava was highly appreciated by the audience. In 2015, Sriti jha received Indian Telly Awards, Television style Award and Zee Rishtey Award for Best Actress for her performance in the TV serial Kumkum Bhagya. Sriti jha also did the role of Ganga in the hit television series Balika Vadhu for a while.

Plot

Priyanka Sethi returns to Delhi from New York with her mother after her parents divorce and has trouble adjusting in her new school. Priyanka, who sings, composes and plays guitar, often spends time in the music room of her school where she befriends three unlikely people: Malini who plays keyboards secretly due to her conservative father's opposition to music, Bikki, an extrovert Punjabi girl who plays tambourine and Kajal, a hot-headed rebellious girl who plays drums. The four of them create a band of their own, called Pink Band and try to break the stereotypes regarding music, bands and norm of society and soon become idols loved by other girls.^[4]

In 2019, she portrayed the character of 'Apsara', a plus size woman in a comedy movie Ujda Chaman opposite Sunny Singh, for which she wore a fat suit. She has worked with Ayushmann Khurrana in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The film deals with the subject of same-sex love and Maanvi played the role of a 'quirky bride'. She will be next seen in second season of Four More Shots Please!' which premieres on 17th April.
