Sccm 2012 Past Due Will Be Installed
SCCM2012 - Applications stuck in 'past due-will be retried' Many times some Applications get stuck in the state - Past Due - Will be retried. This is seen in the Software Center-Installation Status. This usually occurs for Deployment which have date in the past, and the status in CCM class is actually installed, but not updated. ITunes - Past due will be retried. Software Deployment SCCM 2012 Apple iTunes Apple iTunes 12 iTunes. Hello, I have a System that does scans and tells me if there are any vulnerabilities. ITunes is one of the culprits that comes up every week so I have a task in SCCM 2012 R2.
I had an issue similar to this with our patching recently (new environment I've inherited), for our environment the 'additional software manages the deployment' option was set to yes in computer agent under client settings - as soon as I set this to no and did a policy refresh it all started working
I've found I don't need a maintenance window to have updates install, but for my deployments I always have the allow installation outside of maintenance window option enabled like you have done
If you've made a maintenance window for your clients, make sure it's longer than the combined time of the 2 options in computer restart in client settings - I believe if your maintenance window is shorter than this combined value the updates may not install
you may also want to check out updateshandler and wuahandler on the client as well in case there is anything useful logged in there too
I have this issue with several applications now that I have started using SCCM to push out applications rather than packages. I like Applications better but their. As you can see Adobe Reader XI past due – will be updated. Configuration Manager will still first install the dependency in the application (in my case 7-Zip). Error Installing App-V 5.0 SP1 client with CM 2012 SP1.

The new (if you still can call it new) application model in Configuration Manager 2012 has a couple of nice features, but from reading about it is it not always clear how it exactly works. In this blog I like to discuss the Dependency, Supersendence options and what happens if a dependency is superseded.Consider the following scenario:I have created the following applications 7-Zip, Adobe Reader X and Adobe Reader XI. In the 7-Zip application I have set Adobe Reader X as a dependency.
Hello Craig,If a dependency has been superseded (in this case a dependency of 7-zip) it will still be listed as a dependency in the application and normally this would mean that first the dependency will be installed and then the supersedence will take place. If I understand correctly Adobe X has been installed (the dependency of 7-zip) but the installation of 7-zip fails. Swish max for mac. First thing I think of is that the detection of the dependency is not correct. You can check that in the log files, starting with App.log.Which version of ConfigMgr are you running? At the moment I cannot test it for you, since I had to rebuild the lab, but I am curious if something has changed in the handling of dependencies and supersedence.

But still I am thinking of an incorrect detection method.Best regards,Robin.
