Asus Keyboard Backlight Timeout
Hold the Fn key, and press the F9 key to dim the backlight. Your keyboard backlight should dim each time you press the F10 key while holding FN. Hey all, I've searched but still can't find where you change the setting for the keyboard backlight. at first I thougt it was broken drivers because it would go off on windows log in. Then found out about fn f4 and that worked but it seems to go off after a certain period of inactivity, probably to save power but it's hard to see the fn F4 keys in the dark when it goes out.
Is there anyway to lengthen the timeout period for the keyboard lights or just keep them on all the time unless you close the top?

The built-in ambient light sensor in some Asus laptops detects the light level in an area and automatically adjusts the screen's brightness. But if you're giving a presentation or trying to conserve battery power during a meeting, it can help to control the screen brightness. To get more control over the brightness of the screen, turn off the ambient light sensor and adjust the light level manually.
1.Lift up and open the LCD display panel with your thumb. Press the 'Power' button beneath the display to turn the laptop on.
2.Locate the Function key, labeled 'Fn,' at the bottom of the keyboard.
3.Press 'Fn-A' to turn off the Ambient Light Sensor.
4.Press 'Fn-F5' or 'Fn-F6' to manually adjust the screen brightness.
5.Canon mg2520 ink absorber reset. Press 'Fn-A' again to re-enable the Ambient Light Sensor.
Tip
- Turn the brightness as low as possible to save battery power.
